Ultimate Makeover
Thank you to all of the contestants who tried out for our Ultimate Makeover.  We were looking for a woman about 40-55 years of age that had sun damaged skin, and image flaws to give a head to toe makeover.  The Makeover included revitalizing skin therapies, maintenance, a complete new hair design, dermal filler, Botox, and more.  After an exhausting search we selected Peg.

As part of the selection process we had each contestant provide us with a letter explaining why they should be chosen.  Peg's submission is below.

Fifty? I wanted to scream - I do not feel 50, I forgot to look when I might possibly turn 50… I do not turn 50 until June of 2009. Why would I want to celebrate EARLY for this? Please help me out of denial and into a real celebration. With your makeover I will make 50 my "finest hour" (Oprah's term)....

Treatments started in November and were twice a month..

Starting with Photofacials (IPL - Intense Pulse Light) Once a month for three months for sun damage.
The following week the Photofacial would be followed up with microdermabrasion to help remove the damage that was brought up from the IPL.  This process finds the pigmentation (brown spots)  and destroys the cells and brings the sun damage to the surface of the skin.  The microdermabrasion then resurfaces the skin and helps it remove the damage.

Skin Tightening was also a treatment that was used to rejuvenate the deeper layers of the skin.  This process was done with a true Laser that goes to the subdermal and dermal layers of the skin.  It helps to wake up the collagen and makes the skin pull tighter.  This was also a once a month process.

 The Juvederm Ultra Plus was used to correct the facial folds. Juvederm is an instant result as soon as the dermal filler gel  is injected. There is no down time and your results can be seen immediately..  Juvederm is a dermal fill made with Hyaluronic Acid which we natural have in our skin and as we age the Hyaluronic Acid disappears and cause our skin to be wounded and get deep creases in nasal area and beside our lip causing facial  folds. (Parentheses and frown lines)  Juvederm Ultra Plus is made by Allergan and is FDA approved to last up to a year.

Botox was used in the glabella, forehead and crowsfeet areas.  This process relaxes the muscles in these areas and takes about two weeks to start working.  It normally last about three months, sometimes longer, sometimes less depending on the amount used and how deep the wrinkles are.  Botox is also, an Allergan Product and is FDA approved.
